Ultraviolet B light is the most common form of phototherapy used to treat various skin diseases, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and vitiligo. You will be exposed to the intense UVB light during each treatment session. The treatment is NOT A CURE, but can effectively improve your disease. Patients have used this form of therapy successfully for many years and are often able to achieve remission over extended periods of time.

Who should consider XTRAC therapy?

Almost all patients with plaque psoriasis and vitiligo are candidates for the XTRAC Therapy including pregnant women and children.

How quickly will I see results?

Most patients may begin to notice improvement in their psoriasis within 8 to 10 treatments and in their vitiligo within 15 to 20 treatments. Individual results will vary.

How long will clearing last?

Each patient is unique, but psoriasis sufferers who have experienced the XTRAC Therapy have found that relief can last for extended periods of time, typically 4 to 6 months or longer than other psoriasis treatments. Once repigmentation of treated areas is achieved for vitiligo patients, results may be permanent.

Is there any pain associated with the XTRAC therapy?

No. Most patients feel no pain or discomfort during the XTRAC Therapy.

Is the XTRAC therapy covered by insurance?

Most major insurance companies and Medicare provide coverage for the XTRAC laser treatments.
