Dr. Rachel Epstein is a board certified Dermatologist specializing in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and has practiced in the Tampa Bay area for more than 5 years. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. She is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, Florida Society for Dermatologic Surgeons, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Epstein received her Bachelors of Science, Summa Cum Laude, in Biology and Exercise Physiology at the University of Miami. Upon graduating with Highest Honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007, she completed her internship and dermatology residency at Largo Medical Center, where she served as Co- Chief Resident. Dr. Epstein went on to complete a Procedural Dermatology Fellowship specializing in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Dermatologic Surgery, and Cosmetic Procedures at Loma Linda University. She also served as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Epstein has been nationally recognized, receiving prestigious awards for her presentations, research and publications.
Athletics has always played an important role in Dr. Epstein’s life. She is a former Junior Olympic Swimmer and Junior National Triathlete Champion. Currently, she enjoys yoga, swimming, biking, pilates and traveling with her family. Dr. Epstein has a passion for dermatologic surgery and cutaneous oncology. She enjoys getting to know each and every patient and providing compassionate, quality care.
