Fellowship Trained, Mohs Surgeon

Scott F. Lindsey MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist fellowship-trained in both Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery. He has expertise treating a broad range of dermatologic conditions ranging from melanoma and keratinocyte carcinomas to complex medical and pediatric dermatology including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, rashes, warts, acne, and cysts. He has published 16 peer-reviewed journal articles and has given numerous lectures both around the United States and internationally.

Dr. Lindsey completed a one-year Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery fellowship accredited by the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. In the clinic, he performs a wide variety of cosmetic procedures including Botox, dermal fillers, Kybella, micro-needling, sclerotherapy, thread lifts, scar revision, chemical peels, dermabrasion, and both ablative and nonablative laser treatments.

Dr. Lindsey grew up in Winter Park, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and then completed his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. In medical school, he was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society and graduated with research distinction. After medical school, Dr. Lindsey completed a one year clinical and research fellowship focusing on the treatment and diagnosis of melanoma. He continued his training by completing a one-year internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and subsequently completed his dermatology residency at the University of Miami. Dr. Lindsey continued his education by completed a one-year fellowship at the Skin Institute where he was trained in both Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery.


Brittany Hearn

Dr. Hearn grew up on the east coast of Florida and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology at Florida State University. She then went on to obtain her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee and graduated with high honors as the salutatorian of her class.

She completed her internship at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Florida and her dermatology residency at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey. Dr. Hearn served as the chief resident during her final year of residency. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and Women’s Dermatologic Society.
During her training, Dr. Hearn worked at Moffitt Cancer Center in the cutaneous oncology department. She conducted research and evaluated patients with advanced cutaneous malignancies, with a focus on malignant melanoma. This experience led to Dr. Hearn’s increased interest in skin cancer prevention, detection, and management.

Dr. Hearn enjoys all areas of dermatology including medical, surgical, and cosmetics and has experience treating pediatric, adolescent and adult patients. She is also enthusiastic about cosmetic dermatology with a special interest in neurotoxins and fillers. Dr. Hearn recently moved to Tampa with her husband. They enjoy outdoor activities such as bike riding and paddle boarding (with sunscreen!) They also enjoy playing with their chihuahua, Mouse and puggle, Newman.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Erica joined PHDermatology after receiving her Masters in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of South Florida, where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Her interest in dermatology arose from her prior experience as an RN working in the Burn Unit at the University of Florida Health Burn Center at Shands Hospital. Erica has over 10 years of experience caring for patients that have contributed to her commitment to first-rate patient care. She is excited about joining the PHDermatology team and is looking forward to developing a relationship with her patients. Erica achieved her board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is a member of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Erica was born in Michigan but claims Tampa as her home. She returned to Tampa after attending college and 6 years of living in Ft Lauderdale. Erica enjoys all sports, especially college athletics, and can be found with her husband cheering on her 2 boys at various sporting events. In her free time, she loves to travel, attend Florida Gator football games, and spending time with her family and friends.
